A teenage cheerleader who was not wearing a seat belt has been killed in a car crash.
Macie Behringer, 16, was driving by herself when she lost control of her car, which slid into the opposite lane and hit an oncoming vehicle.
Behringer, also a gymnast, was pronounced dead at the scene in Lake Township, Ohio, Cleveland19.com reported.

Police say that speed was a factor in the teenager’s death and that she was not wearing a seat belt
The other driver – who was wearing a seat belt – suffered only minor injuries. Police said that that excessive speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
Behringer attended Lake High School – police say that she was a junior imminently due to graduate early with the senior class.
Counselors and local clergy are at the school to speak with students to cope with what has been described as a ‘devastating loss’ which has left many students heart-broken.
