Two people have been injured in a high speed crash that happened on Staten Island on Monday afternoon, with one in critical condition.

Video shows the moment the car slammed into a tree on Henderson Avenue in Randall Manor, New York, ejecting a passenger.

The clip shows the car speeding towards the tree before hitting, with the engine and front two wheels being torn away from the rest of the vehicle.

He has been transported to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton.

The 20-year-old driver is in stable condition after sustaining injuries as well.

NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the collision.

“I heard a boom and called police,” said a resident in the area who called police.

To allow for emergency response to adequately manage the scene, Henderson was closed off.
